Getting a tune

Outbid on what? If it's a tuner, you'll need to be POSITIVE that it's unlocked (having one unlocked can cost $150) and then tunes for your car will also cost you. Canned tunes are lame and someone elses custom tunes won't work on your car and can likely corrupt your OE tune.
Please, please research before you buy. Of course, you may have been bidding on car wax for all I know...

Nuke is right...if you're bidding on a tuner, put the extra cash towards a cai & custom tune from am or brenspeed...it'll save you from a big mistake...i ordered the jlt intake and tune combo and loaded the 93 race tune from am and i will never look back...she runs alot meaner and shifts hard
if you're looking to intsall a supercharger, then you should take a visit to brenspeed, if it's just a cai and tune, it should be 45 min tops to install the intake and tune her

A canned tune is a preset tune that will come with a tuner when you purchase it.
A custom tune is a tune that is made specifically for your car with your specific mods by a tuner company(Bama/americanmuscle for example).

it was probable one of bama's tunes. it would be custom. if you go to this link ( http://www.americanmuscle.com/sct-custom-tune.html ) and buy that, you get free custom tunes from bama for life. not a bad deal at all.

A canned tune is a huge upgrade over stock. A custom tune is a huge upgrade over a canned tune. However, a custom tune will cost you mucho dinero. My most recent custom tune was $450. Nothing wrong with a canned tune if it's what your budget allows for.

Brenspeed are are bunch of Great guys and bought a lot from them , but had Kurt tune my car and could'nt be happier.
