2011 gt500 oem muffler question
from what i understand these are not a direct fit to the 2010 mustang gt right? but theoretically if i take it to a muffler shop they should be able to make em work right?
M-5230-MGTCA1 are the mufflers in question. i don't see any reason that it wouldn't work as long as you have the equipment to adjust the fitment. but felt it was worth asking before i pull the trigger on a set of these.

i wouldn't have even posted if i could find oem 2010 gt500 mufflers. thats what i wanted in the first place. there impossible to find at this point, ive looked everywhere. they sound better than stock, but aren't to loud or have to much drone.
theres a reason those mufflers are so popular. the reason i asked about 2011 gt500 oems is because those became so popular that vendors are stocking and selling them outright. there easy to find.
this brings me to the next point, you can't find a set of mufflers for under $300 that A) isn't excessively loud, or B) doesn't drone horribly.
other than these gt500 oems i have not found any that meet my criteria. ive gone through exhaust thread after exhaust thread. personally i think pypes bombs, loudmouths, and boomtubes all sound fantastic. i love the tone, the rumble. but they all have one thing in common that pretty much everyone agrees with, they are loud. IF you have an offroad h pipe, or xpipe from what ive read they are excessively loud.

Give me until Monday evenning, I'm off tomorrow but I'll see if I can use the dealer network to find a set. If I understand correctly you're looking to find the same mufflers that a 2010 GT-500 rolls off the assembly line with.

what kind of pricing were you seeing on those? after talking with you i did some more digging and found a place that sells new ford oem parts and found the 2010 gt500 oem right and left muffler. but they want like $350 a PIECE.
for the set its $700. i did some more digging and found another site similar to it that sells for a similar price.
for that kinda change i can buy corsas.
