sputtering 02 gt mustang (help!)

sputtering 02 gt mustang (help!)
I have a 02 gt mustang, intake manifold had broke off at hose. so i replaced it , and what i have now is a sputtering on take off, but if i hit the gas lightly on take off its not as bad. now when on highway it will do same but really bad in 5th gear almost like the traction button is on so i have to put it in 4th and it will drive smooth.
can anyone help me on this?
