Well call it a curveball, call it faite but looks like I won't be headed to brenspeed for my gear swap this month...BOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Since the guys already billed me for the parts, I did think an upgrade of some sort was in order and went with this

http://www.brenspeed.com/10-1602-a180060.html

Gonna replace my c&l racer: FOR SALE!
I have loved the saleen from day one. It looks like a well constructed piece and with the heat shield actually looks like it will produce some "cold" air. Anyone have this updated intake from brenspeed and what's your opinion on it?
Best part is it's Saleen SCer ready....now I just have to win the lottery.lol
I will get some pic's up when I get her setup next week, sounds like a good excuse to clean up the engine bay

Had some things come up and can't make the appointment date. I wish I lived as close to them as some guys
No biggie bro, I will get to the gear at a later date. I am looking forward to the new intake and tunes for now. Looks like i'm gonna be the guinea pig with this setup (nobody has this intake yet?). I don't expect any increase in hp over the c&l racer but the true cold air has got to help somewhat, the guys said I should pick up a couple of ponies because of that.
The C&L is the one mod I have done that I do not care for, figured I would correct that for now and move on to the gears next. My back tires are safe....for now.lol

Wow, bummer! Took my car in at 8:30ish yesterday morning & they had it ready just after 2 (longest 5 hours of my life). Well worth it IMO, it is SLIGHTLY howling on decel sometimes but i'm hoping that will fade shortly. You couldn't have rescheduled at a later date? Don't get me wrong, that intake looks sweet but gears > intake.

I run that intake on my car and love it, but I'm also sucking 12lbs of boost through it. Not sure what benefit you'll see from it, as I think it was designed to move some serious air. Not saying you won't see any, I've just never heard of anyone using one on a NA car.

Best of luck to ya .

yea, total bummer man. I'm 6hrs away and don't trust anyone local, so it will have to wait...no biggie. Glad to hear some feedback on the intake siggy, it is my hope to SC one day so I thought it was a good move to go with the saleen now and pitch that pos c&l. From the pic's I have seen it looks like it protects the filter much better from dirt and wet, that was my primary reason for going with it. Probably overkill for now, but hey you can never have too good an intake imo. Guess we will find out what kind of tune brenspeed can come up with on a non sc'ed engine next week...fingers crossed!!
