Default All terrain tires for GT/winter?

http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/rshop.p...&nichtweiter=1

What do you guys think? The winter up here is getting worse, much more so than last few years.

I have Nokian Hakkapellitta 6's and they are great, but I want something more aggressive.

I heard these are great! Not so worried about highway speeds since I stay off the highway most of the time due to speeders in their dam AWD SUV's and trucks. Not trying to get stuck in my driveway more like it.

The thread pattern looks very aggressive compared to Nokians, and Hankooks...

I don't care about the money spent, as long as it gets the job done.

A good AT tire doesn't necessarily mean a good snow tire. Slinging mud is not the same as slinging snow and packing powder. Tread designs are made differently for each. I'd still go with a dedicated snow/winter tire.

Find yourself a good studded tire is your best bet. I ran michellin X-Ice on mine and had good luck but now my car is a garage queen for the winter.

I was thinking the larger gap between the threads would help with not getting snow enpacked in them (??)

I don't go out unless the roads are paved so it's all good.

I have an AWD suv for that

Then why bother putting performance-robbing tires on your performance car???

I still drive it around daily, I only use the AWD for when it's not plowed yet or serious snow storms.

I don't get how all those other cabbies, beamers, Benz's and cop cars get around seemingly carefree on those days though. I always see smaller FWD or even trucks in ditchs lol

I can tell you from first hand experience that those tires are excellent in the snow. Of course, I've only run them on a couple of 4x4 pickups and an SUV.....but they are an excellent tire in the snow.

That being said......why on earth would you put a light truck tire on a Mustang? What's the next mod, S197 trar conversion? Hope you don't care much about your paint, 'cause them tires are gonna throw some gravel. I vote for a good, studded, all season radial.

Is this really what you want?
