CMCV deletes and cold start = high RPMs
After the install and udate tune (from Bama) I now have cold start issues.
First start of the day or, if the car has cooled off, it will rev to 25k then drop to 2k then slowly drop to normal.
Anyone seen this and do you know a fix.
Called Bama and was told just the was it is.
This can't be true. Any help would be great.
Thanks.

Mine has done this too, it would go higher though up to 3000rpm. Really annoying when I had to wake up early for work and had no cats and flowmasters. My neighbors really didn't like it.
I had Doug at Bamachips make some adjustments and it's better now, only revs to about 2.5k and falls quickly. I have also since put the cats back on.

No problems here. I've got deletes and Bama tunes. Started her up this am and idle was at about 1000rpm. Blipped the throttle and it idled down to about 675rpm. I've never had the high rpm idle going on with my deletes or tune.
And with the LT's I don't think rpm matters - at 5am my neighbors hate me.

It's not necessarily a problem. It's rather normal. If the car runs good otherwise, has good power and no CELs, I would bother with it.
Mine has started and revved up much higher since the built.motor was put in. Other than that it idles and drives like stock, until I floor it.

JUJU,
Like I told you in the other thread, it is normal.
It's a bit worse for you as you are in a state where it gets significantly colder in the fall/winter months. People from Texas or Florida are not going to experience the same exact high-idle because they rarely see the temperatures that you do in Washington State.
As I said in the other thread, if you would like to have us datalog your cold-starts, we can certainly do that. Please contact our tuning specialists and request from them the datalogging instructions and required PIDs(parameters) that you should be monitoring in the data-log.
Please feel free to PM me directly if you have any questions in the future!
