Rear Main Seal leak and warranty question
i have a 2008 GT thats been sitting for about a year. couldnt afford insurance and, or tires. noticed about 2 weeks ago when i went in for an oil change that the rear main seal was leaking. i still have my powertrain warranty but wasnt sure if Ford would make a big deal about my aftermarket mods. i have a steeda CAI, tune and O/R H pipe. I work at a quick-lube shop so i havent taken the car in for anything except to get the syncro box replaced. would these mods make a difference to Ford or should i swap them all out before i go in??
any advice would be great. thanks!

+1, you really cant see the rear main seal. But if there's oil on the bottom oh the trans housing and it's not coming from the engine anywhere, then yes you have a rear main seal leaking.
DEFINITELY get it fixed under warranty!!!
If its the rear end leaking, thats a pinion seal and very common and prone to leakage.
As far your mods, they had nothing to do with the leaking. But they could try to say you were racing, due to the mods, and not do the repair. Getting more things back to stock would only work to your advantage to prevent such a hassle.
