Default 08 GT dead miss

Well it looks like my car has a bad coil. They are actually a lot cheaper than I thought they would be. I'm wondering if it's worth me changing them all out to some aftermarkets or just replace the one that's bad? The aftermarkets claim to put out a spark that's 400 times stronger than factory. Has anyone noticed any power gains or increased gas milage from going with aftermarket coils? I'm not changing them all out unless I get something out of it. I can replace the one bad coil for 30 bucks.

When I looked into them I was told there's no benefit to aftermarket coils. Seems like alot of people have issues with them. Stick with the stockers, IMO.

At our shop we work on a few Lincoln LS v8's
they eat coils and i beleive they are the same coils as the mustang, they go out 1 by 1

Use stock coils.
we tried aftermarket coils before and they last half as 1.

If i were you, id replace just the one coil. if your worried about it happening again, keep an extra coil in your car with an 8mm wrench, they are so easy to do.

Thanks for the tips. My tuner just told me the same thing. Stock is best.

Most aftermarket COPs have been plagued with problems. Also, there are some minor gains from some aftermarket COPs but only if you're SC'd. No gains if you're NA.

Turns out it's a bad fuel injector. That's rare.

I'm having a miss too. My car isn't throwing any codes so though. How did you determine it was a bad fuel injector rather than a bad COP? I was thinking one of those could be my culprit, but I don't know a way to verify one as bad without buying parts and swapping.
