Default She barely starts in cold weather!!??

I currently have a 87 street tune and a JLT series 3 CAI and i was wondering if these mods could be the reason why my 4.6l 3v barely starts in cold weather. I live in canada and winter is coming, its getting pretty cold outside lately. Im getting worried, could anybody help me? thank you!!

If it's turning over slower when cold, I would check the battery.

+1 for the battery. How old is it? How many miles on the car? Is maintenance up to date, i.e. fuel filter, oil change, etc...

I think there is a TSB on cold starts...look into that...might be a tune issue

More info. If it's cranking slow when cold, I'd put money on a weak battery and possibly too thick an oil. What are your morning temps at startup? It's unlikely the tune but it's still a possibility, too.

Can't help pinpoint it without more detail.

same issues here...except mine is a 93 tune...lately it's been in the high 20's in th am and it will start to crank, but will start rapidly clicking...took it a good 15 min of sitting attached to my dads car and him revving till it actually started...my money is on the battery...i'll know for sure when my parts dept gets one ordered for me (should have it tomorrow)

Battery battery battery! Had to replace the battery in my 05 V6 and GT and this sounds just like that.

Cold weather and starting/cranking issues.... Who'd would have thought? Especially considering the (lack of) quality OE battery.
