Default Dyno Numbers =S

So a little background. I had a kenne bell 2.6L supercharger on my car for about 3 years. The car made 462 rwhp and was a dream to drive. I finally spun a bearing in cyclinder 8 due to an oil pump failure. Work was kind of slow so I ended up selling the kenne bell and used the money to have MMR in ventura CA build me a 5.0 stroker. So these numbers are an MMR 5.0 stroker, with comp cams, a full mac exhuast; steeda cai, delete plates, and udps.

How do you thinks the numbers are? Tuner said he could have gotten another 5 - 10 hp if the car had 91, i brought it in with 87. I figure no blower, why get 91...

Car made 331 rwhp and 326 rqtq

Always premium dude....premium=power. Are you happy with the results?

Where is your torque curve? That 9:1 compression ratio is just begging for boost. I imagine that if you had that at around 9.8:1 (stock), it would be laying down significantly higher numbers. The important question is, are you happy with the way it drives?

I'm hoping for 330 with my car with an intake, tune, exhaust, delete plates and NSR Comp Cams, so I'd expect better from that. Problem number 1 is MMR, my buddy had them build his 5.0 stroker for his 99 Cobra, made 361 to the wheels but his was high comp too. I say was because it cracked a valve spring shortly after, so he got it fixed and made 401 this time with a new manifold on it, and promptly broke again. Sent the motor back to MMR and as soon as his car is back together he wants to sell it, last I heard. Anyways, not to be too off-topic, but as you can see I am biased and wouldn't trust MMR. However, 330 does sound good for those mods on a 4.6, but I would think being stroked would help it some too.

Yeah I get you guys on the 91 ontane. I mean it runs alright, but before this, I had a supercharged car lol. Definitely not the same power it used to have, but it runs and it didn't cost much to get back together; just a supercharger =(!

You're right breathegood. I had it built with low compression just for that reason. I want to ad boost again one day. Probably run 16 lbs (which i think is the most you can run on pump gas)since the engine is rated up to 1,000 rwhp. I could have gone 12:1 compression or some odd high numbers like that and it would probably be closer to 400 rwhp right now.

About MMR. God I hope i don't have problems like that. There were local and fairly priced and seemed to have a good rep which is why I went with them. Only complaints are they were supposed to have the engine rebuilt within 3 weeks and it took 2 months. Also the engine was leaking oil from the rear main seal. Not sure if it's MMR's fault or the guy that installed the engine back in. I ended up buying stop leak at autozone. Think it stopped the leak.

Ya hopefully it works out for you, and who knows with my buddy, it could have been just a bad batch of springs, but it did take them a long time to get his motor to him. Do you have any head work done and which stage 2 cams do you have, NSR, VSR, or SPR?

I have these cams. http://www.brenspeed.com/127300.html

No heads or headwork done. When I save up money and get another supercharger, I would like to throw some heads on. I never made the investment because it seems like there $2,000.00 + and only net about 30 horsepower. Doesn't sound like that best investment; but I would like to have them anyway. lol

What heads are the best bang for the buck?

No idea, I honestly never looked into them because they just don't seem to be worth it. You can make great power FI without them.

Yeah that was kind of my thought process as well. I guess once you get to a point where you have a supercharger and still want power; you go that route. Then again some people try to get as much power as they can while remaining natrually aspirated. I myself miss my supercharger. lulz

Ya my buddy tried that with his MMR motor, made good power but broke like I said so it has really turned me off on trying to stay all motor. I'd rather spend the same money and make more power with a supercharger.
