2009 Mustang GT
Hello Everyone! New to the forums and i've been trying to do quite a bit of research on exhaust. This website has helped out a bit along with the reviews on several websites.
I bought my Manual 2009 Mustang GT about a year ago. Everything is stock and I'd like to start with a little upgrade on the exhaust.
I have spent quite a bit of time on AmericanMuscle.com and have listened to all of the sound clips. I am thinking I like the Borla sound the most. I like that low aggressive sound from low to high RPMS. Just sounds MEAN.
At first I was just going to buy the Axleback exhaust tips. But now I'm thinking I should get the Borla Stinger S-Type Cat-Back Exhaust system. Then get new midpipe and headers later on.
Is this a good place to start? Also will I set off any sensors with this?
I am looking at this: links:

This looks a bit cheaper. Plus I have amazon prime for free shipping 2-3 day shipping.

Here is the Borla Stinger S-Type Axleback I was looking at:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/borla-...k-2005-gt.html
Isn't that also included with the catback exhaust I posted? It looks like the tip is included and the rest of the catback.
Wouldn't it be good to get a complete catback and then get the midpipes and headers together for the next addition?

I don't think that the factory over the axle pipes are very restrictive which is why they are suggesting that you don't waste your money on a cat-back system.

Here is our exhaust system
Manifolds - Midpipe - Over Axle pipe - Mufflers
There is no need to change the over axle pipes which are included in the "Cat-back".
I have the stingers, and love them, but they do drone a bit so you have to get used to that a bit.

When you do the midpipe you may want to do the headers at the same time depending on what type of headers you are looking for. If you want long tubes then you need a shorty midpipe and should get them together. If you want shorty headers then you can wait to get a full length midpipe later on. Most go with long tubes because of the performance gain over the shorties.
