Stick with a 3V. A 4V would require extensive supporting swaps.

How much power are you wanting to make? If you're set on putting a block in then go with the aluminator or the Brenspeed 302. Those would be much easier and cheaper swap and provide for much safer higher hp than a stock 5.0. I had thought about going with the aluminator and may later but, I'm plenty happy with my Whipple for now. As it is, traction is my problem, need better tires...

Sorry, right you are. Won't drink and post next time.

I agree with your other post. The 05'-10' 4.6L 3V Ford Racing Aluminator Short Block is a good way to go.
Forged steel 8-bolt crankshaft
Forged steel H-beam connecting rods
Forged aluminum 16cc dish 3 valve pistons
New oil pump
Approximately 8.7:1 compression ratio when used with 50.3cc 3 valve heads
Lower compression for supercharged applications
Built with all NEW PARTS.

I'm having a hard time deciding between this and Brenspeed's B302. The extra displacement is tempting, but the extra $$ is not.

I'm leaning towards a B302 next year as well. I drool every time I read their product advertisement, lol

I'm thinking the extra displacement might be worth it for the extra money - as far as long term goes.

Wouldn't a 5.4 GT500 motor drop right in?

The extra displacement is about useless on a positive displacement blower motor. Stroke is a complete waste, a bigger bore opens up the valves a bit but stroke won't give you more power with positive displacement blower motor. The stroke helps with a turbo and give a bit more bottom to a centrifugal but does nothing on a PD blower.

4V. Would require substantial additional modification.

Yeah, but I can't slap those fancy 5.0 badges on my fenders if I drive a 4.6...
