08 GT what are my options?
Working on upgrading a stock 08 GT, has about 47k on engine.
Trying to plan what my best options would be for a $3000 budget, and what options I would have with a $5500 budget. Exhaust is already picked out and is separate from the budget. Looking for options with pistons/rods, cam, intake mani, tbs and tunes that compliment each other. Would like options that didn't require constant dyno runs for tuning. No turbo, spray or modification of the actual block (read overboring). Looking for reliable 400-500 rwhp.
When will I start to see limits of the drivetrain and coolant system?
Is there a benefit to getting a kit like this:

I haven't done much modding on these 4.6L before so any tips would be appreciated.

I currently track a supercharged Roush 427R and 500 RWHP is towards the ceiling of power for the M90 with a smaller pulley and VMP/JDM tune. Some of my friends are swapping the M90 for the TVS blower to get up towards the 600 RWHP limit. This is possible with the stock internals of the 4.6L but proper caution and care must be taken or BOOM, you're looking at a new forged block real soon.
Look on other forums for M90 take-offs and you might find a really good deal. I'd stick with an M90 to best suit your budget.
Good luck and enjoy.

You won't reach over 400 RWHP reliably (most non-FI mods will peak you out at about 350 RWHP until you get into some serious internal work) unless you go FI and FI will probably cost less to get above 400 RWHP. The stock drive train seems to handle roughly 450 RWHP quite well and as long as you're not on it all the time, probably a good bit more. For $5500, you should be able to catch a bargain AND do some supporting suspension mods to be able to hook-up.

Have to agree with Nuke...a blower with your budget is the best way to go. My Coast 302stroker with Ford top end kit set me back close to $10,000 when you add it all up. The flip side is that I can run whatever I want to for F/I if I decide I need more. It is a little funny that 350 RWHP is considered low We are living in good times!

VMP 3.25" pulley with custom tune, timing (17 degrees or so) and perfect A/F ratios under boost (11.6-11.8:1) makes almost 470 RWHP and may be safe if you have no engine weakness. At that power level, you are always taking a risk if your rotating assembly is not forged.

Or there a better way to part it together? How reliable are the M90s to trust a pull?

I think a low 400rwhp is a good goal at this point to make sure it holds the longevety of the car, not a DD, but would like to see some summer drives for many years. How would you going about getting everything? Get this kit and just modify it:
