My Stang is eating spark plugs!

Don't let Goldenpony scare you into using champions. I've never been a fan of champion spark plugs and people running the brisk plugs are just crazy! The brisk are racing plugs and won't last.
Buy some motorcraft or autolites and don't worry about it. The chances of them breaking are slim. Torque them to 25 ft lbs

I stopped at Ford dealer and was told that the new Motorcraft OEM plugs, part # sp-514 I believe, are now a one piece. It looked the same, but he said the internals are different. He also said they've never had one of these break.

If so, there's your solution right there. 1 piece and OE quality.

Been using the autolite for 5 years. Never had a plug issue and I change yearly or more often depending on the racing conditions.

My Paxton2000
My Paxton2000 specifies a colder plug; thr lowely Autolite 764. Gapped @ .036. Cost me all of $1.88 each on line. F*ck those $10.00 plugs. I do what they tell me to do. Had blow out problems; for some reason Ford opted to put 4 threads into each sparkplug hole. I helicoiled, without removing the heads, cylinders 1 thru 5. Now those plug holes have about 12 threads, and plenty of red Loctite. They ain't going ANYWHERE.

It would be nice if there was a $1.88 option for the 2005-2007 mustangs. I just installed 8 Autolite hto's. I paid extra to have them gapped to .032 and of course they were all .035 except 1 plug. With shipping it was $124!
