Well, not that kind of lucky. I did change my spark plugs though and got all 8 out in once piece!

For those curious about our method. I drove the car over to my buddy's house so it was up to temp when i got there. It only had maybe 5-10 mins to cool off, and then we went to work. I really think having the engine warm helped. We pulled the coils and sprayed PB Blaster in each spark plug well. We waited maybe another 5-10 mins and broke each spark plug loose about a quarter turn. After that with a little bit of work, my friend got each plug out.

I don't know if it I just got lucky, but i wanted to share with everyone. This was something that scared me before I bought my car.

I would bet money that the reasone that everything worked out was because the engine was warm. When I do mine, I am going to go for a drive and come back and let it set for 5-10 mins and go at it. I think that doing them cold is more trouble then it is worth.

It is not as common on these cars as the forum posts would have you believe.

I'd be more afraid of the threads coming out with the plug on a hot motor.
