Default Loosing hope :(

hey guys ill try to keep it short and sweet. 09 gt, last year i had water coming in the car and shorting out the junction box (im aware of the tsb ) ford had my car for over a MONTH and couldnt figure out where the water was coming from. They finally sent it to a body shop and the did a full body seal behind the right fender. (passenger side). After a ton of rain in NJ this past weekend my carpet is soaked again after a year. The body seal lasted for awhile but now it seems the water found a way in again! ANY HELP is appreciated!

If you have hours and hours, I say sit in your car in the rain and watch for the leak to start.

Or sit in side and have a buddy with a hose on the outside.

Have you cleaned the grommets out that are on the firewall?

Did you check around your cabin air filter for crap clogging it up?

Yeah, considering my 06 is tighter than a drum, save for about 3 rattles that you would never notice with music on even low.

Feelin bad for this guy...

I had the leak pretty bad as well from the bad adhesive and sloppy install Ford did on the retainer along the A-pillar and I also sealed the right side body seams. All was good until the rain last weekend (I live in Delaware). Had a ton of water on my floor. I did the other fixes two months ago and it stopped leaking during car washes and light rains but it seems that long driving rains aren't fixed yet. I will let you know what I find when I get mine fixed. I plan to take the fenders off and maybe the door this time. I know where it is coming through on the inside but i cant see it. It's the grommet for the wires running to the door. I just can't see in to the space between the interior body panel and the exterior.

You better knock on wood! My 06 had the leak on the passenger side. I sealed the plastic clips that the wiper cowl sits in, problem solved.

That would cause a **** ton of scratches on my car. I drive down a dirt road, so there is always sand on my car.
