Front End Creaking/Groaning Noise

Front End Creaking/Groaning Noise
Sorry if this issue has been posted before...
At low speeds I am hearing a creaking/groaning noise from my front end when turning after the car has been driven for a while. No noise when cold. Even when sitting still, if I turn the wheel I'll hear it. I do hear some noise when going over bumps, but more so when turning the wheel. Dealership said they lubricated/oiled various suspension parts and said if that doesn't work they will need to take the whole front suspension apart for diagnosis (billable time obviously). Of course the noise came back the next day.
Just wondering if anyone has had similar problem and can point me in the right direction for repairs. Thanks.
Oh, and I have a 2006 Mustang GT coupe.

There are a lot of variables on this one. You may have to check out several things closely and rule out what you can one by one.
Since the noise went away for one day they have lubricated, they probably lubricated the correct spot, at least a little.
Generally speaking, that kind of noise can be:
Bad/worn front strut or upper strut mount, common.
Lower Control Arm bushings, common.
Lower ball joints, common.
Outside tie rods. Least likely.
How many miles do you have on it? Any suspension mods?

No suspension mods and about 44k miles. The dealership did say they thought it could be the upper strut mounts, but would have to take the whole suspension apart to find out. Just don't want them to spend all that time on it if it might be something else, possibly the power steering.
