lost low end power

lost low end power
I just installed a twin 62mm BBK throttle body on my 07 GT. I got a new tune for the mod from BAMA tunes for my flash tuner. The power gains are great past the 3k RPM range, but my car is rediculously sluggish in the lower R's now. Is this normal for this mod? and can I regain some of the lost power in the lower R's by changing some stuff on my tuner?

Unless you are FI, the power gains you are feeling past 3k is the placebo effect of adding a mod IMO. The loss of torque however is not - aftermarket TBs are notorious for having quirks.
The stock TB is good to 600+ horsepower IIRC.

Large throttle bodies on bolt-on 3v Mustangs can be a little hesitant in low RPMs sometimes. However, it shouldn't be "ridiculously sluggish." Sounds like we could do a few more adjustments and tweaks for you to help with those low RPMs!
Give one of our Bama Tuning Specialists a call @ 888.226.9764 anytime Monday-Friday 9-5pm or Saturday 10-4 EST. Describe to them the exact behavior systems you're experiencing and they should be able to smooth the Tune out.
Let me know if you run into any troubles or if you have any other questions. I'm always happy to help!

Aftermarket TB's are about useless on an NA S197 and are known problems. I'd stick with the OE TB since it can well handle more than what even a mildly modified 4.6L needs. Then see if it's related to the TB or the tune.
