Default Hesitation

I was wondering if anyone else has this issue:

I have a 65 mile commute and most of it is highway...when i get off the highway and stop at the stop light on the offramp the car hesitates when i go to accelerate. It is fairly violent and acts like i stalled the car...after that it runs fine.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Jake

i assume it only does it once or twice when you get off the highway?
its the fuel pump cavitating and creating an air bubble that gets sucked in when you try to accelerate. I usually just try to clear it up on the interstate before my offramp or else i feel like an idiot trying to move from a stop.

Gotta replace the fuel pump with another type to clear the issue up

I'm glad you answered...the same thing just started happening to me earlier this year. I'll start my diagnosis there

Thanks

Thought I read a TSB about about a fuel pump issue after highway driving, something about the fuel being aerated if I recall right.

You should have the gt500 pumps anyway! Good excuse to upgrade.

There was a TSB about the stock fuel pumps.

The TSB for the fuel pump should explain it. My wife's '06 had the issue; after prolonged steady state cruising the engine will hesitate/buck upon any signiificant attempt to accelerate due to an accumulation of air bubbles in the pump. Hard acceleration forces the air thru the fuel lines A replacement fuel pump is in order.

Lem-06...you said you clear it up before you leave the interstate...how exactly do you do that.
Thanks
