i just did a v6 to v8 conversion on my 06.

everytime when i start the motor everything seems fine. after a while driving i get this annoying knocking noise coming from the engine. while driving and on idling. after when i shut off the engine and turn it bak on it sounds normal and it repeats making that noise..

my friend who is a mechanic says that the oil is not getting in pressure. he told me i should get the high oil pressure.

does anyone kno wat the problem is? im using the 76 5w-20 oil. we tried the 10w and thick oil from lucas. but 5w-20 seems lik it sounds a lot better compared to other oil. should i try using better name brands lik mobile 1 or synthetic oil???

You really need to hook up a pressure gauge and check the press. you could have other internal engine problems. That's the chance you take buying a used motor.
