surpentine belt jumping

Make sure you have the correct belt. The parts store almost gave me a 5 rib instead of 6 rib replacement.

Mine jumped from oil getting on belt from leaking SC seal.
That makes sense. I imagine a belt even an inch or two longer than stock could jump a pulley under load.

Problem solved, had purchased a belt from auto zone and their belts do not have a deep enough groove and the ribs look too wide. Purchased a Gates belt, and it solved the problem. Thanks to everyone for the help. I'm ready to BURN rubber!!!
