If you're going to drop the front, I'd say yes. The only exception being if you want a lot of negative camber in the front. (Some people do.) But you will wear your tires prematurely if it is too far off.

Ok, out of curiosity what's the difference between the FRPP GT500 mounts and the J&M camber plates besides the name and the price?

^What Diabolical! said. The J&M are also adjustable for camber whereas the GT500 mounts are not (correct me if I'm wrong). I have the J&M and they are a rock-solid piece. I was impressed.

When i did my 1.5 inch drop, I just used eccentric bolts on the front. The shop had no problem aligning it.

From my experience to date here's how I would sum up the great debate...
"To camber plate or not to camber plate"
First off keep in mind that camber adjustments is a car to car study, but as a general guideline...
Drops of over 1 inch in the front will require the amount of adjustment needed to constitute the additional cost of camber plates.
Two classic drop senerio's are covered in the attached thread.
https://mustangforums.com/forum/s197...ut-mounts.html
My drop was performed using frpp p spings @ 1" of drop using gt500 strut mounts. By turning the mounts inward, this helped reduce the amount of camber produced from the additional drop to keep it within spec.
Jeff went with a 1.5" drop and using the same technique with the gt500 mounts, still threw him out of spec with the front end camber after the drop.
So what's it all mean?? (something I like to say to norm, when he going like this.lol)
Simple...drops of over 1 inch in the front = camber plates
Drops of 1 inch = gt500 mounts
Now I'm not saying that upgrading to camber plates in not a good idea, I'm simply stating that if you stay with the 1 inch up front, they are not needed.
Personally I am not a fan of crash/camber bolts and would not recommend them to adjust camber.

My drop shopping cart would include the following...
Steeda sport springs (1 inch front, 1.25 rear) or FRPP P springs (1 inch)
Stuts/shocks of choice
Adj panhard bar
GT500 strut mounts

I don't plan on dropping the front more than 1", so here's what my shopping list looks like;

This is a semi-daily/weekend driver. Not really looking for all out performance, just want to get rid of that wheel gap I have.

I think the 05-10 GT, V6 means that it works for both.

Doing some more research, I noticed that the eibach pro, Tokico HP's and the Koni's are all about the same price. Out of these 3, what would you guys prefer?

Btw, sorry for jacking the OP's thread.

Look up strange's adjustable struts and shocks. I run them on all four corners and the price is great. Full adjustability is nice as well. I'd also start thinking about adjustable LCAs and relocation brackets to get your LCAs and pinion angle in alignment.
