Default thinking of adding a supercharger...

What is the consensus of putting a blower on a the 4.6L 3v thats got 72k mi.?
I've been toying with the idea of adding a Paxton NOVI 1200...nothing to radical...

the car is pretty much stock when it comes to the motor (MSD coils, K&N C.A.I., MAC cat back and a bama tuner).
I've got roughly 3,000 to play with...and looking for the best balance of reliability to power.

I have an E-Force TVS on my car - 79,000 miles on the clock and the motor is still going strong. However, I don't beat on it very much.

3k really isnt enough. Stuff always cost more than you think. With more power you may need a new clutch etc....to handle the new power.

Oil catch can should be on your list as well and if u plan on going to a track or even if u like (getting on it) then u might think about a tranny catch can. Jdm makes a nice one. Ford made it so when ur tranny fluid gets hot it flows out the tube under your car. Cheap mods that are great

A blower at low boost isn't going to affect your engine's longevity. If it's been well maintained, it should last for a very long time.

UPR's catch can works really well. Mine had captured two inches of oil at my last oil change.

I've got a catch can (though I've never seen any oil in the sight tube)
She burns approx 1/2 a qt per 5,000mi.
In regards to a new clutch...I've got one sitting on my shelf waiting lol
