Thanks Diabolical! They are black Aero Race wheels at like maybe 17lbs. each. Front 15x7 w4inch backspacing and 15x10 w6inch backspacing. Instead of buying some expensive wheels...I found these that would work as long as I got the Maier wide fenders. So they are smaller and lighter than stock and I get to use the 15" tire benefits (325/50/15 -Wish I could find bigger because theirs still room on the inside of the wheel well lol)

For anyone interested:

I think they were like $50-$100 range.

Just curious, how did you get the 15x7s over the front brakes? I know a lot of people who have tried and failed to get anything wider than a 15x4 on the front of an S197 GT.

3 things helped:

-Aero race wheels were pretty wide (decent inner clearance)
-1/4 inch Spacer a must
-Grind them thangs! (calipers)

Perhaps the Aero's helped a lot but I did have to grind a bit.

I just wanted a little bit wider tire than a "skinny" on the front for at least SOME handeling out on the street. You can do 225 or 235's with this wheel. Not Big but not skinny as sh*t. Although the skinnys have grown on me and might get them with Hoosiers for the track and shows. -With different wheels obviously.

* Again, this set up works only because I bought the Maier wide fender kits. Aero doesnt offer a proper set up for our cars stock, as they would stick out the fenders by 2.5 inches

Front fenders were bolt on. Rears were bolted in and fiberglassed.

Yeah, my car can't handle for s**t. It goes in a straight line only. I leave the skinnies on the front all the time, but I run Mickey Thompson radials on the street and Hoosier QTPs at the track on the rear.
