Default Best CAI

Let me preface this by saying I did search but couldnt find a definite answer.

Im about to buy an intake/tuner combo and looking at Steeda, JLT, Airraid and BBK. Obviously most of your power gains come from the tune, but is there a real difference between the intakes? Or just personal preference?

Welcome to the forums! For the love of God Search!

Now on to answering:

The Steeda intake and JLT 3 intake seem to produce the highest gains. If you want to spend more money than you should have but have the best looking intake, you could go with the WMS High Velocity Intake like I did and still get. I don't have dyno numbers yet and mine will be skewed because of the other mods but I expect the WMS would have made the same numbers as those two.

All of the tune-required CAI's perform equally well. The CAI is only about 20% of the combo's gain. Be more concerned about who writes your tunes. Pick the CAI based on what appeals to your eyes and wallet.

0 issues when our tune has been installed on a consumers car ... protect your investment and run with Steeda

Email me at tim@steeda.com if I can help provide any answers or support.

Best Regards,

TJ

That sir, is my over priced, yet still awesome intake.

95mm equivalent (oval shaped and nearly matches the TB) MAF housing. Haven't had it installed AND dynoed yet but plan to this summer. The only advantage I see in this set up, which was also recorded by Muscle Mustang Magazine and 5.0 Mustang Magazine is a much lower IAT on hot days, other than that, it ran with the top two intakes as far as gains (but that was on the standard MAF size). Hard to dyno a ram air style on a dyno Unfortunately I don't have 1/4 times at all so the only way to tell the true gains... I don't have.

Hours of searching for a different intake than everyone else. Western Motor Sports is the manufacturer. http://www.wmsracing.com/ I believe they are Canadian.

Got a discount just by asking them also! Correction, a major discount!
