Default 2005 mustang trunk light problem

I recently purchased 578 LED Bulb - 9 LED Festoon bulb from superbrightleds.com. it says it is a direct replacement for the 211-2 that is in there. I plugged the led bulb in and pushed the trunk switch and the led momentarily lit. I was wondering if the led is just not drawing enough voltage so it thinks the bulb is burned out or what the issue is. I put the stock bulb back in and it works fine. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Try rotating/moving the led bulb around; it may not be making good contact with the socket.
