Adjusting 93 Oct Tune, 6% leaner + higher rev limit
Hey Guys,
I'm trying a lot of stuff to pick up a few tenths at the track for an upcoming race.
I've acquired a FASTwideband/datalogger and it turns out that my car was running a bit rich.
I adjusted the WOT A/F ratio to 6% leaner, the wideband showed me a good a/f ratio of about 12.9 on average. (you cant adjust it more than 6% other wise i'd have tried to reach 13 -13. 2). The car did start to bog in between shifts so i adjusted the drv rev limit to 6475 and the nrv rev limit to 6600. Which solved the bogging issue.
I haven't tested it out at the track yet, but i am curious to see if it'll make difference in the 1/4mile against the regular 93 octane tune i got from brenspeed.
Someone mentioned that start making less power above 6000rpm so i might actually run a slower time. What do you guys think?

The brenspeed guys are great, i've gotten most of my parts from them including my tunes. But when it comes asking any tech questions on brands they don't carry or methods etc they havent tried they basically don't even want to give them an opinion. Which is understandable.
I know some people might think of this as going a bit over the line. But i'm racing in a class where the fastest car ran a 12.8. My car consistently runs 13.34. I'll try anything to get me into the 12's on the 24th of november.

I understand that part. However this isn't a tune ill be driving on the street. Just during passes at the track this one time. I can't stress enough on how badly i want to get into the 12's.
I'm testing a new fuel my tuner here had ordered, it's VP racing 110 unleaded (usually the 110 in leaded, this one is not) with a small percentage of methanol.
We've ran it before numerous times in a friends Supra, however he's F/I and fully built so it might differ for my car.
I'm already stripping the interior and using slicks and skinnies; 15 x 3.75 . 15 x 10 racestar wheels on 28 x 11.5 Hoosier Quicktime Pro's. (First time using them during the test and tune next Saturday)
