MY WIFE'S MUSTANG IS A 08 GT/CS CONVERTIBLE, 4.6L 5SPD. WE HAVE COME TO A TIME WHEN SHE SAYS SHE NEEDS AN AUTOMATIC, TOO OLD TO BE SHIFTING. ANY IDEAS ON 5 OR 6 SPEED AUTOMATIC FOR THIS CAR?
I AM WILLING TO MAKE THIS CHANGE FOR HER BECAUSE WE BOTH LOVE THE CAR, PLUS THE 5 SPD WILL GO GREAT IN MY 65 GT CONV.

You will have to use a 5R55 trans. You will need to change the whole ECU and harness to the Automatic version as well.

People convert from auto->manual or manual->auto all the time.
Your best bet is to exchange with someone. Otherwise, you have to find and buy a lot of items: 5r55s trans, trans mount, auto shifter and trim, shift cable, cable mounting bracket, cooling lines, trans cooler, driveshaft, torque converter, flexplate and bolts, brake pedal assembly, and compatible pcm and engine/trans wiring harness.
