Default 150 Shot Nitrous Email Tune? Willing Vendors....

Hey Guys,

I'm in the process of adding my FRPP Intake manifold and NSR 127200 cams.

I already have a nitrous kit. I've been wanting to up the "shot".

The best time i've gotten with a 100 shot is 12.2~ . (12.8xx N/A)

With the new mods and a 150 shot i'm hoping to run "deep" 11's. Anything sub 11.6 would make me a happy camper ( 150shot/intake manifold/cams )

The problem: There are no tuners locally. I've always used email tunes for my car with slight adjustments on the Xcal. The shops i've asked so far, brenspeed etc won't do email tunes above 100 shot.

I'm looking for a shop who's willing to make me a 150 shot nitrous (email) tune.
Is anybody using an email tune for 150 shot? Or does anyone know a shop that might do this for me?

You could try AED (Advanced Engine Development) in Cameron Park, CA.

A 150 shot of nitrous is not a big deal. The problem is nitrous set ups vary and bottle pressures vary. Some set ups are very consistent, some aren't. Power adders like superchargers and turbos are very consistent and predictable. Nitrous not so much.

Good luck.

@Simon1, sent them an email, hope they'll be able to help me out.

In the mean time, any other suggestions? anyone?

I called AM again, but the same answer. Nothing above a 100shot.

How much is all this costing you, compared to get a SC and calling it a day? Seems like you will be in to about half or more of the cost for a good twin screw blower set up.

I've been down both roads and the SC is much more user friendly. Little to no maintenance, easy tuning. I know it's the question you were asking so ignore it if you have other plans.

Also, deep 11's with an extra 50 HP that you already have is probably not realistic. I would thin you would be in the high 11s already. If you spray off the line and can get a 1.5x 60', you should in the 11's. If your 60' is in the 1.65+ with slicks with that much power and traction potential. You should figure out why.

@Simon1, i lost count of how many times people on here have asked me that, lol

i've spend about close to what an S/C would cost me.
The reason i stayed N/A was because my local track has a "american muscle unfriendly" classification.

The class i run is : 2 - 3 liter stock turbo (no additional power adders)
3.1 - 6.2 liter naturally aspirated
2WD Only
( i run cars like, stock turbo supra's, 350Z's, 370Z's, Camaro's,
LOTS of JDM 1JZ cars see -> Toyota Chaser/Verossa/Mark 2 )

The class i would be in if i had a supercharger is the "Open Class" which basically means anything goes. The cars in that class are highly modified, supra's, trailerqueen civics, RX7's and even a ' 13 Cobra Jet.

Needless to say, i'd be a sitting duck if i went S/C and wanted to compete at their events.

The nitrous i only use for fun on test and tune days.
