Default 2006 Mustang GT Best Big Brake Kit?

Well the time has come to upgrade from those garbage stock brakes. I am almost at 50,000 miles and i'm between these two, which would be better and why? When I go 120-140mph and slow down to 80mph my brakes are done, I need something that can slow me down safely and efficiently with no brake fade..

SVT brembo's: http://www.americanmuscle.com/svt-brakekit-0509gt.html

Feel free to share other sets that you may think is better. I don't want to spend anything more than $1,500.00

I have had these front brakes for 7 years now and I highly recommend them. http://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/Bra...tion=GT+Models I would think the lighter ones AM is selling would also be good. The Brembo's are nice but very heavy.

I was just in the same boat and here is what I did. The GT500 Brembo kit from AM is stock equipment for the 05-09 GT500's. Find a salvage set, I bought mine for $650 shipped with just a little powder coat damage, rotors, pads, and calipers. Repainted them for $40 in caliper paint. I then got the Baer Eradispeed 14" rear kit for the stock rotors. It's just an aluminum bracket that offsets the caliper for 14" rotors. The new GT500's do the same thing, it's the same rear caliper from the GT just a bigger rotor. The Baer kit is $600. That's right, total of $1300 or so spent and I have 14" rotors all the way around with 4-pots in the front.

I'm gonna drop another $650 on 2-piece eradispeed front rotors to match the backs eventually.

If you are gonna spend $1500, bump it up to $1800 and get the 6-pot FR Brembo it with 15" fronts if you can fit it inside your wheels. $1200 for 4-pot 14" fronts from AM or $1800 for 6-pot fronts 15" fronts w/ teh 13.8" rear kit as well. The $1800 kit is a WAY better value if you aren't gonna go the way I suggested.
