ive been getting this weird sound from my transmission for a week.

when i push in the clutch and put it in gear it makes a weird small knocking noise after a while i drive more and all of a sudden i dont hear it anymore. but today i found out it makes a very small sound.

while i was driving i found out i couldnt put it in gear so i let go of the clutch and put it again and it went in. it did it couple of times and when i shut off the car for a couple a minutes and start it up and everything worked fine..

clutch is 1 year old probably 20k miles on it.

any help will be appreciated.

It's too hard to say what it is without pulling the tranny. Sounds to me like a slave cylinder issue. If you pump the brakes and clutch and then try and put it in gear does it change anything?

If the clutch was hurt, warped flywheel or screwed up/twisted input shaft, bad syncro or hurt tranny, I would think it would not be intermittent.

Ever since my slave cylinder was replaced, it will loose pressure here and there and I have to pump the brakes/clutch and it works just fine. I'm dropping a 4r70W in it pretty soon anyways so I won't be fixing it.
