Just received my Ford airbag recall 14B04 notice
My official Ford Safety Recall Notice 14B04 / NHTSA 14V-343 came in the mail today. It says the driver and passenger airbag inflator could rupture causing serious injury. I called the dealer I bought it new from and I'm the first one to get the recall notice. It's going in Tuesday morning for new driver and passenger airbags.
I've been reading lots about this but didn't think the Mustangs were included. Look for yours coming soon in the mail too.

I'm still getting no results found here:

Check yours and let us know the results. Just curious if the recall page is reporting correctly.

The Japanese government is far more deeply involved in industry (via METI) than anyone in the U.S. would be comfortable with. Plus they're more than willing to manipulate the value of the Yen to benefit domestic industry. Remember how everyone in the U.S. lost their minds over "quantitative easing" (printing money) a few years ago? The Japanese gov't does it all the time. Keeping the Yen low vs. the Euro and USD makes exports from Japan far more lucrative and discourages imports.
It's going to be interesting to see what happens once Sony and Panasonic really hit the skids.

Oh sure. When British Leyland was going belly up in the 1970s, the UK gov't propped them up for a bit. But all they did was continue to make garbage and couldn't compete with Ford and Vauxhall/Opel (GM,) so they still eventually went bust.

Yeah I got mine Friday and so did some friends as well. I called the dealer two weeks ago when it was announced. They had zero info and said the parts are back ordered for months. Well that makes me feel good....nothing like a claymore mine aimed at my head inside my steering wheel. Great!!!

I had an appointment to get mine done first thing yesterday morning. It took less than an hour and the tech did a good job because I couldn't find a thing out of place when I got in it. They had seven more scheduled to do after mine and then they were out of airbags for the time being. Pretty painless process.
