09 (automatics) & 10 GT's used a Denso alternator. I know, my 2009 has one. They are awesome alternators (like 5 times as expensive as the 05-08 models), and stock they put out 135-150 amps, but to retrofit into an earlier model you would have to replace the connectors and pigtails.

I am trying the possible solutions, the only thing I havent tried was purchasing another set of stock plugs to put in it. No I dont have the stock air box it was already gone when purchased the car. I have heard about the alternator issues so I will get one and install this weekend, hopefully it works I will post back either way. Is there a big difference in the 06 and 10 Gt alts. IE mounting. They look to be a bit different in the pic that I seen online.

Automatic or manual tranny...?

Also, judging by how much time and money you have already spent chasing the problem, cut your loses and take it somewhere to have them diagnose it. You are losing money (and time) and are actually behind where you most likely would've been if you hadn't thrown a bunch of parts at it.

Its an automatic. I realize ive spent a bunch trying to fix it, but whenever I finally fix the problem the stuff i have done cant hurt it any. I did get an alt that I am going to try on it tomorrow. If that doesnt solve the problem then its off to the shop next week. I will let them figure it out either way I cant wait to see what the problem is.

Well i tried the alternator with no success the problem still exists. Looks like it's going to have to go to the shop.

I've the exact same problem and did about the same trial and error as Miranda. The last thing I did was cleaning the injectors the hard way with battery and forcing carb cleaner in them (look it up on YouTube) and changing the o rings and cleaning all the electrical connectors. It helped a lot but it's not perfect. I'm convinced it's electrical. I'll check the connection with the TB motor. The plug failed a couple of years ago and I crimped a new one and I'll clean the ground connections. That's a good idea.

Besides, after trying a lot of things and service being due, I signaled the problem to the dealership. They told me it's the plugs. I changed them 2,000 miles ago. Then, they told me it's the T/B that must be changed; USD 1,200! I bought one at AM for less than USD 200 and changed it myself. Didn't help at all. At least I have a new TB.
Just to say that if you have this problem, the dealership will do the exact same trial and error but cost wise you'd rather buy a new car.

Just throwing out there, I have an '05 GT. Couple of years back I had an issue, not like yours. However the fix was a new fuel pump. Car has been excellent since, I think it was a deal with too much back pressure returning to the tank, and it was a warranty replacement.
