The OP should be getting mid 11's with the amount of power that he has and he's falling well short 'cause of a lack of traction. LCAs with relocation brackets will definitely help. If the car is lowered, he'll also need an adjustable Panhard bar to center the rear axle and an adjustable UCA to reset the pinion angle.
thanks for the input. I just got the relocaters and adjustable pan hard, putting them on this week, then i'll check pinion angle and see where it's at and go from there

That just about sums up your problem. Your suspension upgrades should make a huge difference. Good luck.

I wouldn't waste my time reinstalling stock LCAs with their mushy rubber bushings. They're the main reason why S197s have bad wheel hop in the first place.

is there a special lube for the bushings, or just grease them?

I have 255/45/20 wheels on front, if I put the mt 26/10/15 slicks on back, will it be really unstable at top end?

If you have bias ply tires on the back and radials up front, it will start to "dance" at the top end of the track.

to the point of danger, or something controlable? I think we are talking, maybe 110 to 115 mph
