Clutch pedal hard to press when engine is warm

Or you could copy me and do something slightly different:

Long tube headers are a perfect heat source for boiling clutch fluid in the lines. They can also heat soak the starter unless you protect it with a heat shield.

Its not touching the engine or exhaust so maybe... just maybe i have a leak at the exhaust manifold flange or a leaking manifold gasket leak... My exhaust sounds great though with no obvious signs of a leak.
Im also thinking maybe a Cat is beginning to clog and creating hot back pressure.
Or maybe the grease in my Throwout bearing is dried up and producing the heat... the clutch or throwout bearing do make light chatter sounds if the car is parked on a slight upward or downward slop, It goes away when i press the clutch in.

What specifically should be done to totally negate the heat with regards to both the clutch & starter? Or is it even possible?

Not necessarily but who knows? Replacing the stock plastic clutch hydraulic line with a braided steel unit would at least eliminate the risk of the plastic heat fatiguing and sudden loss of clutch pedal pressure. To protect the starter, you could buy a DEI Starter Versa Shield from Summit Racing.

I was having the same issue in my 2010 5 speed gt premium. I bought a new master cylinder, a remote clutch fluid reservoir and braided line along with a new clutch and flywheel now its like butter. You may also want to look into a billet master cylinder eyelet. Stock is plastic and will break from the stiff pedal
