Default Lifter Noise

Any thoughts on what might help silence them. I've already tried running Seafoam through on the last two oil changes. (I was told they should be self-adjusting, might be stuck, and Seafoam would unstick them.) It really didn't do much anything.

An old mechanics standby is Rislone.

Sounds good. Will give it a try. Should be decent enough to drive this weekend.

Rislone in. Drove around a bit. It might be my imagination but it did sound a bit better when I got home. Will give it some time to work and report back.

Mine's doing it too. I just turn up the radio. Tried Liqui moly and it worked for a while but the noise will always come back. Replacement is the only cure.

Done that. The rear window louvers rattle/creak at speed and that's the only fix for that too.

I had the same problem. Its collapsed lifters. No additive will fix it. Don't wait to long and drive too far. I changed out all of them. Good to go.
