Someone installed some aftermarket parts on that car. The top pictures looks to me like you had an aftermarket head unit at one time - maybe was removed and the stock Shaker reinstalled.

The second picture is obviously not a stock connector. It was likely used on a power tap. Is there an "add a tap" fuse in that fuse box (looks like you are looking in the passenger side footwell fuse box)?

What does your dash look like? It may show what you have that isn't standard. If everything was put back to stock then all those wires don't connect to anything now.

What year is your car? Depending upon the year the AUX button may not be used - 2006 for example it was there but only because on other cars it was used and it was cheaper to use the same head unit across production.

But it definitely sounds like your prior owner had aftermarket equipment on the car and put the stock components back in.
