If the problem is the selector fork, am I looking at a complete rebuild?
Only the damaged selector fork and the 5th gear synchro will need to be replaced, but this is a job best done by a manual tranny specialist. Parts & labor might end up close to $1000, and that doesn't include the clutch assembly if that also needs to be replaced.
Well, I just did the clutch so that shouldnt be a concern. Hopefully it will be a lot cheaper than $1000 because I would be doing all the labor except the rebuild itself. Thanks everyone
