passenger side air bag
 

is it possible to turn off the air bag on the passenger side in my 2006 GT 'vert? At least until Ford gets the parts in to fix it. I know my wife will not ride in the back seat as Ford suggests.

I don't know, Ford should know. I am just disgusted that they are dragging this out so long....

Unfortunately it isn't Ford dragging this out. The air bag problem is the supplier, Takata, which manufacturers most of the air bags. They can't keep up, filed for bankruptcy, and it is a supplier issue.

If Ford was manufacturing the components it would probably be taken care of, but they don't make the parts. Just like BMW, Toyota, Lexus, GM, etc.

There were like 40 million recalls,
plus Takata was sued into the ground;
plus, some replacement bags were also recalled,
& they were trying to do the areas with higher humidity first,
plus everyone is a dumbass except us.

I purchased my Mustang in November 2017, and I registered on the Ford Owners Website this morning. The recall popped and I read it, and Ford stated it was safe to drive. Just wanted to know if anyone else has seen it? Thanks
