Cam Swap Question

Cam Swap Question
If doing the cam swap without using the spring compressors, is the engine left in the #1 TDC position ( 1 o'clock for the timing mark ) for the entire install? Or, do you complete the passenger side then rotate the engine counter clockwise to the ( 7 o'clock timing mark ) to do the drivers side? Most of the instructions and videos found are not clear on this.

using the spring compressor is best, but if you are set on doing it without....
if you set up your crankshaft (at 12 O'clock) as recommended in my guide (GT section) and verify passenger side cam is positioned
exactly as shown in my pics. You would then rotate the crankshaft clockwise to 6 O'clock.
At this point, cylinders 1,4,5 and 8, will have spring pressure on the cams. It is at this point, you would unbolt the cams and swap.
