CAI

OE Intake is a CAI, follow the path...
Just get a K&N, AFE, or Spectre drop in, and tune...
When you open the hood, and see an air filter, it's pulling in engine compartlent
air. That's called a Short Ram. CAIs pull air from outside the engine compartment.
If you want a pretty intake, then pay $300+ for a Warm Air Intake...

All in all, a CAI just looks pretty... I just use a dry high-flow filter.
If you were to buy a CAI with a larger MAF, then you definitely need a tune, the
car runs like crap without it. There are specific intakes that require tuning, and
even those cause idling and other issues without a tune. That is why the tuners
actually have K&N, Steeda, and other specific intake tunes.
Mine is an OEM Air Box, with five 1.25" holes drilled in the front face of the lower
portion of the box. I am using the K&N FIPK tune, and it works good.

Hey bl, I bought a tuner that came with Bama tunes for the V6 I had. While I didn't think it boosted HP too much, it sure made the throttle response very snappy. I was going to go the same route with my 06GT that I have now, but you make me think there is better out there.... could you fill me in? I want to tune the car but certainly want to make sure I get the best tuning.
