Default Project "Frankenstang" 56 K warning.

Well moving from discussion to building. Got the four eye nose, side trim, and proper rear bumper. When I decide the motor it may move or get added to another section of this forum. Undecided presently. A 4.0 ohc was a possibility until I seen a actual motor. Too tall and cross member problem. It will be a Ford motor. No not 5.0 everyone has done this. I am differant. Here is link to all pictures good and bad. http://s177.photobucket.com/albums/w224/mgman75/
Took this picture today late. Had to have a idea of look. I like. I know ruff. But get the idea.

I forgot to mention to those that have not read the post in discussion. It is a 93 body, 86 front end, dash will be changed to 86 style. 240 engine what is that. If 3.8 liter that is very high on the list. Found local one low mileage. Also in next town a man who drag races a nitrous 3.8. His son building a 3.8 turbo one. Both bodies are the 94+ style. Would SHO motor but have read Aerostar automatic not much good. Put that behind a SHO. And I will test the SHO. Not good. Paint peeling just happy to find a 86 rust free nose and all the pieces. Can went in the -A Part on the 17th. Just glad it was still there. It lost the carb, and several other items while I pulled the nose. Want to meet Mustang people go to a place like this. I meet about 10 to 15 people in a few hours.

but i dont know if it will fit there .. but like i said .. off the wall suggestion lol .. but yea, 3.8s are nice, just put better cames and stick with the 8.8 rear because the regular rears suck azz and stock 3.8 are only good on take off, no pick up power

The 240 engine has less tq and power for the money you put in it than a SHO, 2.3T, 5.0, 3.8, 4.0, etc.

It will fit, a 460 BBF will fit and a skyline engine will fit, I'm sure a 240 will fit. Also the 7.5 is good till 300hp, and the 3.8's got better over the years, but they aren't the best ever, but they have good numbers for a ford

too bad the 4.0 wont fit in it that well. I'd love to see what a fox would do with a 4.0 OHV. i love mine in my explorer. it is faster than the 2.3L and only 1 seconds slower on the 0-60 than the 5.0L explorer, and... it only has 160 hp.

One I am looking at 2001 3.8 v-6. Looked on internet 193 Hp stock. Now free flow exhaust and cold air. Looking into that.

92lxsleeper...I have a few Explorers myself.....do you ever go to Explorerforums.com, or ExplorerX.com? EF has WAY more traffic, but ExplorerX is where all the 'street' guys like me hang out...

mg man 75....cool little project.....I would squeeze the 4.0 SOHC from the 96+ Explorer/05+ Mustang in there....the 4.0L SOHC was faster, and got better mileage over theequally equipped 5.0L Explorers! Well known fact in the Explorer Community....proven time and time again...It will fit. I PROMISE

If you don't go 4.0L SOHC, the SHO engine would be cool also....the A4LD has been made nearly bulletproof in offroad, and daily driving duties by way of rebuilding it using 4R55 and 5r55 components in the A4LD case...
