Default My compressor

ok so this is the compressor I have on my mustang. A shop put this set up on during the the huge R12 to R134a change over craze during the early to late 90's.

1. can anyone find this compressor for cheap
2. can anyone find a new braket that well fit this compressor and fit the 2.3 (mine is cracking in half, and wont last much longer than 5,000 miles.)

Go look in the junk yard. Look to see if another mustang (or 2.3) has that compresser and bracket (2.3 rangers as well)

Whats wrond with the pump?
Why can't you get the braket welded?

Is a 93 mustang r-134a? I don't know if is. Grab bracket and all from one of these. Or go stock and convert with the freon only. I have read of this being being done with stock parts. Also get numbers, brand off compressor and google it. Also check vintage air.com may have it put maybe pricey. If can't find post info and I will try.

well for starters the braket is an aluminum braket, and i dont know were to take it to get it welded.

Second the compressor is seized up.

thid i'v checked the junkyards for this braket and compressor from rangers, mustangs, pintos, and anything else i just happen to notice has a 2.3 in it. Now i haven't been able to find a 91-93 mustang in any of my junkyards yet, so when one shows up maybe i'll get lucky.

dude i live my life on ebay...if i could find one i would. The only ones on ebay have the V belt set up...and for the braket, no one sells brakets off of cars on ebay...just aftermarket ones that they dont have for mustangs.

if a v-belt one is the same, you should be able to change the v-belt pulley for the serp belt pulley off your seized one
