1200 is the cheapest running 4cyl I've seen, although it had 183k miles. I have seen a 1960 something mustang around that price, but it wasn't running and needed complete restoration. For <$1200 here you get a parts car, or a chassis with no engine or tranny.

Cheapest five-O here is $2000 at the moment, and it has quite a few parts that may make it worthwhile, but I just don't have $2000 bucks.

$2k for a 5.0 is really good. some how i found one on craigslist for like $1500 and it was in good condition the person must not have known he could get way more. i even have the money i just can't spend it on a car.

I wish I had the money, I actually could spend it if I had it.
