Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not knocking the Probe, that car is obviously crazy fast, and honestly I had never seen it before. Nothing wrong with a mild tune, they last a lot longer that way, makes the habit a bit cheaper at least. 7's.....has that been done before with one of these engines?
Oh no, I know your not knocking. Just wanted to give some input on our combo as not many know what else is out there. I wish everyone the best with there setups, and in no way am I trying to put ours on a pedestal. To awnser your question of a 2.3 in the 7's, Yes it has been done. That engine was put to the test for sure and pretty much found the limits of a 2.3 build as there were reliability issues. http://www.nhrasportcompact.com/2004...rs/d_nase.html

Geez, that guy went from one extreme to the other. Check out his records,

Career highlights:
[*]World's quickest 2.3-liter Ford[*]Two-time undefeated Dodge Viper Regional Champion[*]First All Motor Viper to run 130 mph[*]First All Motor Viper in the mid-10s[*]First All Motor Viper to run consistent sub 1.45 60-foots
How the heck do you go from a huge displacement V-10 Viper to the Ford 2.3?

Just think with the Probe...more boost, maybe ~50psi or soand a little laughing gas, it would be insanely quick then. Not that it's not fast now. Of course then you do have to worry about reliability issues....

I don't know about the street cars things as I know hubers run gas and flanders runs alky. Not exactly a fair comparision.

They talked about a race there but flanders had issues and couldn't make it. Looks like huber is willing to go up to where flanders is and race him. Flanders is running 42psi?!? Thought the hubers were at like 32-34psi.
