Default Found a part rolling around. What is it?

Tonight on the way home from work, I found a part that rolled out from under my driver's seat.

It's a small aluminum cylinnder, maybe an inch high, and an inch in diameter. It's definately hollow.
The bottom has 2 plug prongs coming out of it, at 90 degrees to eachother, that form a bit of a "corner"
On the top is written:
"552 12V
Wagner
DOT"
On the side is written:
"Motorcraft
D2AB-1330-AA"

What is it?

Sounds like the Top part of an IAC, but can't be 100% sure without pictures

It's definately not the top part of an IAC. It feels like it's made of very thin sheet aluminum, and is hollow. The top of the cylinder just smoothly flows into the sides with no sensor plugs. There's just a lip on the bottom, with 2 prongs that look just like your standard socket plugs, but not parallel, angled out. No grime so it's likely not an engine compartment piece...

I have no camera, so no luck there.

Found out what it is. It's a flasher.

Identicle to that:

If my turn signals work, I assume then that it's not needed anywhere?

cause a lot of them are behind the radio sleeper. still.... you should have one on the fuse panel for the hazzard lights.

If the part still works then keep it around and save yourself a few bucks when/if the other goes out.
