when i had it set before all the gears were bumped up and i couldnt even push it back as far as D1 because D1 was accessed by putting it into D2 all seven gears were bumped like this... I put it back but now its having the same slipping problems.

just to update; I took it into a transmission specialist and they test drove it for me, they said the transmission/fluid is fine but it seems like the exhaust is plugged and that its getting flooded.

I checked the switch for the pump like you said, it looks fine. I am guessing either the filter needs changing or there is in fact a blockage in the exhaust line like the transmission mechanic said, he said he never got a chance to check what the computers said in regards to the illuminated engine light, I think ill just install a new pump this weekend.

Hello,

I just wanted to say thanks for this post, i took off my line and a fair amount of fluid poured out, so i removed the modulator and got a new one, I let it drain for a bit and put the newone in, it still seems to have the sameproblem though... idk i was just going to takethe line off and let it drai some more idk what else could cause these symptoms.... i do get a code 122 when i run codes but thats just tps voltage toolow and i cant adjust tps on this car.

just to clarify, last year my problems were solved by replacing the ignition module this problem now is something different in the transmission, since it does have alot of power consistantly but sometimes its like the transmission isnt engaged unit i rev it up a bit or switch it back and forth between drives, then it will just kick in and engage and you can feel it going back into gear.... i guess ill make sure all spark plugs are firing and make certain that its not the ignition module again... but the symptoms are different.... so idk.
last year i also replaced the fuel pump and filter.

it also sometimes idles at around 2k instead of around 780 like it should, but this is only an intermittant issue.
and i know tps voltage is low cause i got codes 121 and 122 when i ran codes last week.

well i fixed the problem... after installing the new modulator and it did nothing, I replaced the small rubber vacuum line down there so that it sealed better and drained all th lines that i could get at, since there was quite a bit of tranny fluid in some of them, I cleaned out a couple of the small plastic valves cause there was a bunch of fluid in them too, I checked all connections and clipped off an inch of a coupe of them to give a fresh seal, topped off the tranny fluid and shes running like a dream, took a whole liter of tranny fluid I guess alot escaped into the lines, hopefully nothing was dammaged in the transmission, I hear some wierd rattleing sounds but i know both cats are doomed so hoping its just them.... cheers.
