two days ago she died from bad tfi. half tach signal then the sudden death gave it away. noid lights while cranking confirmed.

during the tfi's suicide, i rearend someome at ~5mph in a construction zone brake check. no damage thankfully. then the starter starts going. joys.

re timed her and set everything. then she jumps a tooth and runs poorly.

this is followed by my external regulators lifespan ending today.

full fielding the alt in junction with ohming the wires to/from regulator/alt verified diagnosis.

a tuneup with a starter replacement is in need. tomorrow i will report back with status. just set fuel psi to 65#base. re-retiming and changing plugs too. a .028gap on "modified" plugs. lets see how she runs on 91+double dosage of 104 octane boost and base timing.

predict 400 tq and 325hp at rollers. and thats a low estimate to prevent disapointment.

I apologize to everyone-i forgot on new years the part store is closed. so, i retimed her-waiting to go buy new brushes or a reman if i cant get brushes for the starter.

will report back tonight or tomorrow on the status. a bit busy-moving to a new apt this weekend as well.

3G alternator time. Love mine. On you fuel pressure I thought 39 with vac line off was standard sometime bumpered to 42psi? Or are you running non stock fuel injectors and tune. I assume so since expect 325 at wheels. Sound like good numbers Maurice

nothing on her is stock. have injectors and tuning her atm. havent had time to goto rollers again. having issues. she is detonating on base timing at 4800rpm on 12psi on 91 w two cans of 104octane boost. to 5gallons of 91. coldest ngk plugs that fit on 7.5:1compression. i need to invest in a standalone. not worth just buying an ignition box to reduce peak timing while setting low revs up high.

she also was dropping a cyl after i tweaked. blowing too much fuel down her atm. its a nightmare. i have maxed my vam out. not worth buying dataloggers and stuff to keep tweaking the eec-4. soon i will be selling a vam and la3. the vam has been worked over quite a bit.

once i get her on cop ignition w 14*base and 28* peak at 3k revs, on speed density and three or for runs on the rollers, i will be looking for a new block. my last bottom end had a rod go. same top end. but it had a tune for 110 and quarter mile. so i been setting it for street stuff now. anyone want to buy me a late xmas?
