my 89 mustang 2.3L has no acceleration when put in gear, The engine idles and revs perfect in park or neutral but in drive I have no pick up power the tranny shifts ok its just takes forever trying to pick up speed and feels like im being held back reverse on the other hand seems fine. On jackstands and in drive the rpms of the engine are free revving, heres a list of things I have done. air filter, fuel filter, fuel pump, plugs, wires, cap and button, ignition module, I ran the codes from the EEC with the Obd1 code reader and found nothing and I recentlly changed the torque converter, the car got alittle better after changing the torque converter but still the same, my car would barely go up my car ramps before I changed the torque converter,ive changed the tranny fluid and replaced the filter in the tranny, I also cut off the exhaust thinking it was a clogged cat, I am already out of 400 plus dollars and I am really stumped on this and I am at a lose right now any good ideas would be greatly appreciated.
