Default Lost what little power I had

Last night the starter selenoid on my 1991 2.3L shorted out and was giving constant power to the starter even with the ignition turned off. I replaced the selenoid and everything seemed fine afterwards. This morning the car has very little power and wont rev above 3K while driving. It also stalls out while driving and then tries to stall when I release the clutch to start going unless I rev it up to 2500 and ride the clutch until its rolling enough to sustain 2000 rpms.

What could have been fried from the selenoid shorting out? Where do I start looking.

Found the problem, the timing belt was apparently loose on the gears and it advanced to about 40* timing. adjusted it back and tightened the tensioner pulley and everything is running great now

Great news. One warning if you replace it with the autoparts 4 wire version. Go to Ford or j-yard and get a FORD one. The 4 wire one's are junk. I went thru 3 from differant suppliers all failed again. A used Ford one solved my problem. I got a new one in trunk just in case. Maurice
